Stewardship workshop · Five sessions
Held in Common
Life is better when we stop holding everything with a tight fist.
Stewardship has a reputation problem. For a lot of people the word arrives already attached to a guilt trip, a pledge card, or a sermon that made them feel watched. So they brace for it, and nothing useful gets through.
This series breaks stewardship down into plain terms and teaches it without guilt, manipulation, or heavy pressure. It is about freedom, community, and the gentle reality that a life held loosely is a lighter life to carry.
Five sessions. Each includes the teaching, an exercise to work through on your own, and questions for group discussion. Take them in order, and take them slowly.
The sessions
Five sessions, in order.
-
Session One
It Was Never Yours Anyway
Freedom begins when we recognize we are managers of God's resources, not owners trying to control everything.
-
Session Two
The Currency of Hours
Managing time is not about relentless productivity. It is about making space for what genuinely matters.
-
Session Three
Open Hands, Full Hearts
Generosity is a cure for fear, not an entrance fee for God's favor.
-
Session Four
Carrying Your Piece of the Net
You are not responsible for fixing the entire world, but you are responsible for faithful care in your immediate reach.
-
Session Five
Held in Common
We thrive when we move from "what's mine is mine" to "we are in this together."
All five sessions are ready to read and work through, on your own or with a group. If you are walking through this with others and would like help facilitating it, we would be glad to hear from you.
